About Wilderness Survival and Bushcraft Skills School Workshops

ONE WITH NATURE Survival School runs Wilderness Survival and Bushcraft Skills Workshops in private and public schools for elementary, middle and high school students. Our workshops aim to teach students about wilderness survival priorities, how to make a fire, how to build a shelter, find and make water safe, deal with wildlife, navigate in the outdoors and identify harmful plants. These outdoor skills are essential education for any generation. Nature provides humans everything necessary to live in the wilderness. However, it is our responsibility to teach our kids how to use resources from nature efficiently and sustainably.

Our workshops focus on the following topics related to wilderness survival and bushcraft skills and knowledge:

ONE WITH NATURE Survival School applies the Demonstration-Performance teaching method which include the following components: i. explanation (discussion), ii. demonstration, iii. student performance, iv. instructor supervision and v. evaluation. We find this method to be the most efficient way to disseminate wilderness education. We also incorporate practical skills that we are fortunate to learn from indigenous communities around the world.

Students in our sessions learn how to build confidence in the wilderness and connect with nature. Our company and most of the kids and parents who participate in our workshops believe this curriculum should be taught in every school because this education can make our community happier and safer. Furthermore, these skills and knowledge may save lives while enabling more sustainable interactions with nature.
