Vitaliy Svetlichnyy

CEO AND HEAD INSTRUCTOR

Vitaliy is an internationally experienced survival expert in the variable wild environment. He has been developing survival skills for more than 20 years. Having trained with Siberian (Russia), Kazakh (Kazakhstan) and Aboriginal Canadian people, Vitaliy loves sharing his knowledge and skills.

Vitaliy develops his survival knowledge and skills during all seasons. Specifically, he prefers the challenging rain season, when making fire without tools is a difficult achievement. He continuously develops hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain snowmobiling and motorcycling skills.

Academically, Vitaliy has the following credentials: Master of Global Management, B.A. Physical Education and Sports Instructor. Outside of academics, he has led a team of 1500 people in an international corporation and has a professional skiing background.  

Vitaliy has been certified by the Canadian Red Cross for Standard First Aid & CPR/AED.

Renita Silva

INSTRUCTOR

Renita is our resident biologist specializing in understanding biodiversity and animal behaviour. She enjoys teaching children about the natural world, and how to make the most of nature without harming it. Her biology background makes her confident in natural environments. Renita also focuses on ecosystems and nature protection.

Renita is passionate about working with nature, from making use of appropriate plants in survival situations to adapting to seasonal effects. She is patient when teaching others and aims to demonstrate how the skills learned in the outdoors translate into everyday life.

From an academic standpoint, Renita has a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biology and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psycholinguistics which has enabled her to do research and lecture at universities. She is also avid trail runner, hiker and swimmer.

Renita has been certified by the Canadian Red Cross for Standard First Aid & CPR/AED.
